On behalf of IFBB President Dr. Rafael Santonja, we would like to cordially welcome you to the Mr. Olympia Amateur Jordan 2016 Championship! The International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness (IFBB) - the official governing body for bodybuilding worldwide - has partnered with KABS FitFactory to bring the iconic Olympia competition to Jordan for the very first time.
Since 1965, the Mr. Olympia competition has served as the definitive measure of excellence and prestige for bodybuilding athletes and enthusiasts across the globe. By bringing this world-class competition to Jordan for the very first time, athletes from across the region - as well as those in Africa and Europe - will be invited to take part in the unprecedented expansion of one of the world's fastest-growing athletic disciplines.
The IFBB is proud to partner with KABBS FitFactory, an orginization that shares its passion for bodybuilding, fitness and wellness. Founded in 2014, KABS seeks to empower and inspire individuals across Jordan and throughout the region to enhance their lives in the continous pursuit of optimal health and wellbeing. All overall winners of the Mr. Olympia Amateur Jordan 2016 Championship will be provided with IFBB Pro League PRO CARDS, with the exception of the Classic Bodybuilding Category.


The inaugural edition of the Mr. Olympia Amateur Jordan Championship is being hosten in Amman, Jordan. Situated in the Levant region of the Middle East, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan is a friendly, hospitable, and welcoming country with a population of around 9.5 million, and which boasts a burgeoning bodybuilding scene that is rapidly growing a wide fan-base.
Jordan's capital city, Amman, is located in the northwest corridor of the country. A modern, sprawling capital with a population of over four million residents, Amman is also rich in history, boasting numerous ancient sites and Roman ruins in its Downtown district. The city hosts a number of internationally renowned, five-star hotel chains, in addition to myriad options for more budegt-concious accomodations.

King Hussein Sports City is a sprawling, state-of-the-art athletic complex located in the heart of Jordan's capital city. Constructed across 1.2 square kilometers of land, King Hussein Sports City boasts a wide range of athletic facilities - including an Olympic-sized pool - along with playgrounds, social and cultural facilities, and abundant greenery.
Prince Hamzah Hall is a multi-purpose indoor facility used for a wide range of sporting and social events. With a total area of 13,600 square meters, the air-conditioned hall can accommodate over 7,000 spectators.

This championship is open to competitors from all IFBB-affiliated National Federations across Africa, Asia, and Europe. The number of competitors who can participate in the aforementioned competition categories is unlimited. Athletes who wish to register for the Mr. Olympia Amateur Jordan 2016 Championship will only be considered if they are nominated by their IFBB-affiliated National Federation by sending the Final Entry Forms with their names to the Organizing Committee office, with a copy to the IFBB Head Office in Madrid and IFBB Technical Committee.


All costs of traveling, hotel accommodation, transport to and from the airport, and meals are the responsibility of the sponsoring National Federations or the individual athletes themselves. Check with your National Federation for more information.

Official Athlete Registration will be conducted on Thursday, November 17, 2016, between 10:00 and 20:00 at Jordan Kuwait Bank’s Auditorium at the Main Branch- Abdali Area.

An athlete will only be considered for the competition if his registration is submitted by the National Federation of his home country. The official IFBB Registration Fee is USD200 per athlete, for all competitors registered prior to November 7, 2016. Advanced payments can be made via PayPal or credit card through the following link: http://www.ifbb.com/competition-registration/.The registration fee when registering after November 7, 2016, or at the competition venue, will be USD250.

All athletes will have to produce their IFBB International Cards at registration. Any athlete who has not yet purchased this IFBB International Card will have to buy one at registration. IFBB Cards cost USD40 per year and are mandatory.

All posing music must be on an audio CD only. The posing music must be at the start of the CD. Each competitor must include his/her name on the CD for easy identification. The use of profane, vulgar, and offensive language is strictly prohibited in all posing music.

Each athlete participating in this competition will be provided with a competitor’s wristband at registration. This wristband allows daily admission to Prince Hamzah Hall and should not be removed.

The IFBB has banned all tans that can be wiped off. An official will check the tan of all athletes backstage and if the tan comes off by simply wiping, the athlete will be told to remove the tan before going on stage.

On-site tanning services will be provided by world-renowned tanning product provider Jan Tana. As the number one provider of airbrush spray tanning products and services to bodybuilding competitors and fitness models around the globe, Jan Tana has provided its services to more bodybuilding and fitness champions than any other tanning system provider.

Access to the backstage and/or dressing room areas shall be strictly limited to essential personnel only. Coaches and trainers who assist athletes in the dressing room area must be of the same sex as the athlete they are assisting.

Camera and/or videotape equipment is strictly prohibited in the backstage and/or dressing room areas, except when used by IFBB-authorized media persons and, in any event, these devices shall be strictly prohibited in the dressing room area.

Holders of passports from the following 10 countries and territories do not require a visa to visit Jordan for a period of up to one month: Bahrain, Egypt, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and United Arab Emirates. Citizens from 120 other countries and territories are eligible to attain a visa on arrival. To check if your country is included in this list, visit: http://international.visitjordan.com/generalinformation/entryintojordan.aspx Single entry visas valid for one month cost JOD40 (approximately USD56). Jordan waives visa fees for those traveling in groups of five or more who stay for a minimum of two nights and use a local tour operator or a foreign company that works with a Jordanian partner on the ground. To apply for a Jordanian visa, you must have a passport valid for at least six months after the proposed date of your departure from Jordan, and the passport must have at least one blank page.

Citizens of all other countries should consult the Jordanian Embassy in their country to determine if they need to apply for a visa beforehand. An Official Letter of Invitation will be made available if required. It is National Federations responsibility to obtain an entry visa for the country organizing the championship. All National Federations could ask for an Invitation letter either to the Championship Organizer or IFBB. The invitation letter does not mean you are granted your visa. IFBB and Championship organizer are not responsible of attendants visas. An athlete, who requested and received an invitation from the IFBB Head Office or the Organizing, Committee of an IFBB sanctioned event for visa purposes and used this visa to unlawful stay in the host country or any other country, will be subjected to the disciplinary proceedings and measures.

Amman’s Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) is located 32 kilometers (20 miles) south of Amman, the capital city of Jordan. In March 2013, the airport’s state-of-the-art new terminal was opened, transforming the Kingdom’s gateway into a beautiful, modern facility. In both 2014 and 2015, QAIA was named the best airport in the Middle East by the Airport Council International. Airport Taxis operate 24 hours a day, and are available outside the arrival terminal of the airport. Prices are fixed and are posted near the taxi kiosk, as well as on the tickets sold to passengers.

Airport Express Buses operate between North Bus Station - Housing Bank Complex and the airport. Buses depart every 30 minutes from 06:30 to 17:00, and every 60 minutes from 17:00 to 24:00. Ticket costs (subject to change): JOD3.25 per person.
